Beaches have always been famous for their beauty and tranquility. Listed below are few of the famous beaches in the world.

Anguilla, Caribbean: Anguilla is an even, low-lying island of coral and limestone in the Caribbean Sea which is located east of Puerto Rico. Anguilla is especially famous for its spectacular coral reefs, colorful fish and stingrays. Anguilla has a tropical dry climate moderated by northeast trade winds. This 16 mile stretch of island has total 33 beaches all open for public. Anguilla is one of the most popular destinations of the rich and wealthy. This island is very famous amongst the celebrities, making this place very expensive. The best season to visit Anguilla is from December to April when the tourism is at its peak. Reserve your bookings well in advance in order to avoid the rush as most of the resorts are shut from September to October.

Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona is located on the northeast coast of the Iberian Peninsula, facing the Mediterranean Sea and has plenty of beaches that are clean, safe and attractive. It has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm, dry summers. This city has a total of seven beaches that stretch up to 4.5 km across the coastline. Sant Sebastia and Barceloneta beaches are the largest, oldest and the most popular beaches in Barcelona. Nova Icaria, Bogatell, Mar Bella, Nova Mar Bella, Llevant are the other beaches in Barcelona.

Bora Bora- French Polynesia: Bora Bora, located about 160 miles northwest of Tahiti and approximately 2,600 miles south of Hawaii, is undeniably one of the most beautiful and magical islands. This island has many private beaches, exotic hotels and has lot of other adventure activities like the snorkeling, shark-feeding dives, scuba diving and other water sports.

Fernando de Noronha - Brazil: Fernando de Noronha consists of 21 islets which is located on the Atlantic Ocean, up to 354 km off the Brazilian coast. This island is one of the best, unspoiled beaches and beautiful in the world. It can take many underwater activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, diving, surfing and more.

Cumberland Iceland, America, Iceland is the Cumberland distances up to 17.5 miles, and is rich in natural resources such as ancient sea turtles, sand dunes, forests and salt marshes. Iceland is a Cumberlandnature's paradise with all the three ecosystems put together - beaches, forests and marshes. Only 300 visitors are allowed on this island and the best time to visit is from March to November. If you want to spend time alone with your family, away from the hustle bustle, then Cumberland Island is the right place for you.

  1. I agree with your placement of Anguilla at the very top for best beaches international. It's a magical place. Supreme beach restaurants, truly warm people, almost always sunny (no mountains -- it's desert). My parents loved it so much, they moved there.

    And loads of celebrities. Orlando Bloom and Sandra Bullock were on-island (no, not together) in the past few weeks, and that's off-season. During the high-season, there is literally no room for all the private jets. Here's a page from my site full of stories about Anguilla celebs...
